Are you ready to gain THE professional and personal experience of a lifetime? Are you an apprentice in a company in Styria? Your answers are "yes"? Then you are ready for an internship abroad as part of your apprenticeship!

 

How do you go about doing an internship abroad? Here are some questions that you should clarify in advance with your company and your parents or guardians:

• Am I doing my apprenticeship at an Austrian company?

• Am I already in my second year of training?

• Talk to your training supervisor about whether you can take advantage of this opportunity to spend time abroad. We require a declaration of consent from your training company.

• If you are still a minor: clarify with your legal guardians whether they will allow you to go abroad.

• Who will pay for the internship (you, your legal guardians or your company)?

• Does someone support you in the administrative application process? Company or legal guardian

• Do you have to take vacation for your internship abroad?

Additional funding for apprentices and training companies!

Apprenticeship companies eligible for funding should take note: the apprenticeship office will reimburse the gross apprenticeship allowance lost as a result of the internship abroad.

NEW here is an internship bonus (daily allowance) for the apprentice, which amounts to €15 per day of the internship period.

You have recently finished your apprenticeship and are looking for an interesting job abroad. We will be happy to help you with the Erasmus+ funding opportunities. You have up to 1 year after your apprenticeship to complete an internship abroad.

Are you a trainer of one of the apprentices who has applied for an internship and would like to gain international experience in supervising apprentices abroad?

Apprentices who have already received an internship abroad can, under certain circumstances, receive a further Erasmus+ funded internship.
